Print Books In the Wild!
over 1 year ago – Thu, Sep 15, 2022 at 09:40:00 AM

Hello Backers,

I've heard reports that backers whose pledges include print copies have started to receive them. You should have at least gotten an email a couple weeks ago that there was an order placed for you, and hopefully got a more recent email that the books have shipped. The printers are in the US and UK so people win those countries should probably get their books in the next few days if you haven't gotten them already. Backers in other parts of the world should get them within a week or two.

As always, if you have any issues receiving your rewards, let me know, either messaging me through Kickstarter or emailing [email protected]

With the print books out, that's a wrap for the Good Little Children Kickstarter. I'm done with the monthly updates. Thanks for the wild ride all!

Before I go, I'll just give one last plug for Graveyard of the Gods. There's just over 10 hours to go and we're only a little of $600 away from hitting another stretch goal to unlock an eighth adventure exploring another god-isle.

Thanks,

Matthew

Proofs Look Good!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Aug 29, 2022 at 12:14:26 AM

Hello Good Little Children Backers,

The prints proofs have come back and they look good!

This means that I'll be sending out print copies soon. If you are getting print books, you should have just gotten an email from Backer Kit letting you know that we're getting ready to lock your address. Please check that we've got the correct address, especially if you have moved recently. You have 48 hours and the address will be locked, so I'll start sending out print copies next week.

Graveyard of the Gods Is Nearly Funded!

Last update I mentioned that Graveyards of the Gods had launched. Now with over half the campaign to go, we've nearly funded. As I write this we at 90% of the goal. We should fund within days, that it's on to stretch goals adding more art to the book and extra god isles as bonus PDFs.

Waiting for Proofs and Graveyard of the Gods
over 1 year ago – Wed, Aug 17, 2022 at 11:29:18 AM

Hello Good Little Children Backers,

First a quick status update. Last week I uploaded all the files for the print books have been uploaded to DriveThruRPG and now I'm just waiting to get the proof copies. This waiting sometimes takes a few weeks but I'm hopeful that I'll have them by the end of the month. I'll let you know when I do and how they look.

Secondly, I'm excited to say that the Kickstarter campaign for Graveyard of the Gods is live!

Floating on the astral plane are the calcified bodies of gods long dead. Yet a spark of their divine power remains. These god corpses are rich in magical resources waiting to be plundered, but they also give rise to strange environments and dangerous monsters.

Graveyard of the Gods is an anthology of adventures for 5e and Pathfinder 2e. Each is set on the massive corpse of a dead god. These adventures favor exploration and wonder, and you can run them independently or string them together for a campaign.

Plus we have stretch goals for bonus adventures and more. The sooner we hit these goals the better the final product, so back today!

The Adventures

Junk Racers by William Fischer – Eventually, all lost things in the multiverse find their way to the corpse of a long-dead god of junk. What becomes of all that trash? It's turned into magical race cars of course! Heroes can join racing teams of kobolds, hobgoblins, or a half-dragon, or they can compete as a team of their own. (Level 4-6)

Temple of Knowledge by Matthew J. Hanson – All that remains of this lost god of knowledge is their head. At the Monastery of the Tree, the monks record the predictions that grow on the prophecy tree. Meanwhile, a mine of magical ion stones has dug too deep and disturbed a sentient crystal living within. (Levels 5-7)

Valleys of Mists and Roars by Eran Aviram– A lush jungle grows on the corpse of a god of the wild. Dangerous beasts fill the land, the crew of a crashed ship begs for help, while an undead cult tries to steal divine power from the god's remains. (Levels 6-8)

Isles of Mettle by Tristan Fishel – A dead god of war is sundered in two, his petrified intestines bridge the two halves of his body. Warriors come to test themselves in eternal battle, always reborn in the Pool of Valor. But recently a ruthless warlord has seized control of the Pool of Valor, tipping the balance of power on the isles. (Levels 7-9)

The Crushing Hand by Jay Africa – Years ago, an asteroid city collided with the hand of an ancient god. Now the hand is slowly crushing the city. Anybody who could leave has. Heroes might try to rescue more survivors, broker peace among the city's many factions, or fight the planar parasites spilling over from the dead. (Level 9-11)

Dreams of Astral Evil by William Fischer– On the corpse of a god of elements, four factions representing air, earth, fire, and water have each claimed a portion of the cavern within the god's body. These factions maintain a tenuous balance...one the heroes could easily upset. (Levels 12-14)

Golden Banner is Live!
almost 2 years ago – Thu, Jul 21, 2022 at 05:17:30 PM

Hello Backers,

I just sent out the PDF coupons for the Pathfinder version of the Golden Banner to those whose pledges included it. 5E and Savage Worlds version went out earlier this month in separate emails. As always let me know if you are missing something.

This means that all the PDF rewards for Good Little Children have official been delivered!

The last thing is the print book that collects the three adventures. I'll be putting the files for that together later this week. Then it will take a few weeks to get the proof copy to make sure everything looks right. If that goes well I should have print books out to people in August. I have sometimes needed multiple rounds of proofs, but if there's a delay I'll let you know.

Graveyard of the Gods

Now that rewards for this Kickstarter is nearly wrapped up, our next Kickstarer campagin will soon get underway.

Graveyard of the Gods is an anthology of adventures each set on the corpse of a dead god, adrift in the astral plane.

Heroes can learn their future from a tree that grows prophecies. They can race magi-tech cars made of junk on a god of lost things. They can test their mettle on the remains of a war god, where those who die in battle are continually reborn. And much more!

The Kickstarter campaign for Graveyard of the Gods launches August 16th. You can sign up on the Kickstarter preview page to get a launch alert.

One Last Plug

Finally, did you know Sneak Attack Press has a Patreon?

It supports our line of books called This and That. Each book is themed around a mundane item like rope, keys, or books. They contain real-world history, magic items, monsters, and more. The next book in the series is Hourglass and Sundial, and it's all about telling time.

By supporting the Patreon, you make sure you never miss a book, vote on book themes, and get a glimpse behind the scenes.

July Update
almost 2 years ago – Sat, Jul 09, 2022 at 02:37:30 PM

Hello Backers,

Thank you all for your continued patience. I'm happy to say the 5e version of The Golden Banner just sent out backers. The Savage Worlds version is currently in layout and should be ready within a few days, and the Pathfinder 2e version is undergoing conversion and should be ready in a week or so.

Normally I like to release them all at the same time, since it seems to reduce confusion, but since I'm running behind, I thought I'd send them out to backers as soon as they were ready. I'm still waiting until they are all done to send them to the public, however.

For those of you who ordered the print collection, I'm hoping to have those ordered by end of July or early August, but the proofing process can be chaotic, so we'll see.

Sneak Peak

As we wrap up this Kickstarter campaign, I've started laying the groundwork for the next one. I'll give you some more details later, but for now, here's a quick peek at the prelaunch page.
